Frequently asked questions

Kinari FAQ

Short answers for the most common questions about kit contents, food safety, cure timing, and repair fit.

Do I need any experience?

No. Kinari is designed to feel like a first encounter with kintsugi, with step-by-step guidance and a slower, kitchen-table pace rather than workshop fluency.

What kinds of pieces does it work best on?

Ceramic and stoneware are the most natural fit: cups, bowls, plates, and teapots with chips, clean cracks, or small missing edges.

Is the repaired item food safe?

Yes, but only after the full cure. Kinari positions the repair as food-contact-safe once the 21-day cure window is complete.

How long does the kit take to fully cure?

Surface set happens in about 48 hours, but full food-contact-safe cure takes 21 days before the piece returns to regular use.
